What Does It All Mean

She's got a dresser outside.  She's holding barbed wire.  There's a pony and a mini city, a low sun and a snake.

Kefir Makes Top Ten List

I've posted about kefir before.  It was last summer when I got ahold of some kefir grains and started drinking it daily.  Let me just say, it made me feel wonderful-and I wasn't even feeling bad!  But as time goes on I just keep feeling wonderfuller and wonderfuller.  And wonderfuller!  No lie.  Its weird, I feel real good but I keep on feeling better.  And its because of this stuff.
It is what those fancy cleanses want to be but fail miserably at.

How to:  first step, pour your liquid and the grains into a strainer and mush it through with the spoon.  All you're left with are the grains in the strainer.  All the drinkable kefir is down in the pitcher.

Next you plop the grains back into the jar.  Now its time to feed them so you'll have more kefir tomorrow.  I use Snowville Milk but I've heard people use coconut milk too.  I might have to try that when I'm feeling crazy someday.

Here's my luscious creamy kefir.  I like it room temperature so I usually drink it then and there.  And I'm a purist, I don't add any foofoo fruits or cinnamon or anything.  Nope, just plain please.

Make sure you don't put a lid on your Mason jar or it will explode.  You heard me right.  Use a pretty vintage hankie instead.  And keep it right out on the counter where it looks pretty.  If you put it in the fridge it won't do its thing.

That actually saves you when life gets out of control.  If you can not do one more thing, no no, no way, just pop the kefir in the fridge and it will quietly wait for you to come back to it no harm no foul.

Stir your kefir real good before pouring.

And take time to look at the flowers while you sip away.

Kefir.  It is so on my top ten list and I'm not even kidding.  I never expected to start drinking this concoction and I didn't set out to try to feel better or anything like that.  But it is really somethin'.  I believe its one of those superfoods and I hope I'm right, because when I feel good I make art.

This Kid Is Odd

Odd indeed.
It began here, then kept on evolving.

Journaling My Way Through The Winter

Scrapping and gluing and pasting and coloring and gesso-ing and all that fun stuff will get you through these long winter evenings.  Grandpa says "35 more days 'til spring, then 3 more snows".  (He likes to rub it in. )
This is a spread that's ready for some mark-making and some text... We'll see what comes of it.  And when it gets too cold and your fingers quit, well then its time to turn on some zombies...Yay!!  Everybody knows Valentine's Day and Zombies are a great combination.  Absolutely perfect.

Stay Warm Dear Ones XOXO

My True Love brought these home yesterday and he got extra points for not waiting because they are so nice and fresh and perky.

This is my valentine surprise for my beloveds--TomYum Soup with all the fixin's.  I tasted it, best ever.  Nice and hot and spicy

My tunnel day before yesterday.  Very gray and winterlike.  The falling flakes were plentiful and large.

Its all happening right here.

And its also happening over at the studio too.  The plants are celebrating Valentine's Day.

Ok so this is my new favorite thing, Life-Changing Bread.  I found it on Pinterest and let me just say that this bread is, indeed, life changing.  I wish the photo was more picturesque, but it was hot out of the oven.  Too hot to handle.  You can see all the different nuts and seeds I used.  I've made it twice now and I'm hooked.  Love it.  Love. It.  I love it so much.
Thing is, it will only let you eat about 2 slices at a time.  Even though you want to eat it all, it won't let you.  It fills you up.  Oh well, I suppose it will last a few days this way.  What a wonderful problem to have.
xoxo Sweet Ones

Love Cards Complete.

This Love Card ended up with daisies on it.  I did what had to be done.      I quite like the extra-rough ripped edge of the bookcover.

details...

Another book cover Love Card.  This one has magical black stars, which improve anything and everything.

A smeared k is better than a perfect k any day of the week.

I Am Here To Bring More Love Into The World.

This painting is very nearly complete.  I will look at it again with fresh eyes when I get to the studio tomorrow.  Its 12x12, acrylic and inks and graphite on birch.  It was a bit of a Science Experiment for me.  A whacky Science Experiment in the Laboratory.

Progress, in reverse order:

This was the beginning, remember my previous post where I ranted a bit of steam?  Thank Goodness I meditated to the MoreLove meditation and remembered why I am here in the world.  Duh.  Then I plugged in my earbuds and listened to Rusted Root.  That'll always set you right.

Change Of Heart.

I revised it.  Different day, different mood.  Its now a vessel of flower-like items. I wonder what it'll be tomorrow.  I know this, it's making me much happier now. Tomorrow I will define some of those flower-like items and go from there.

It wasn't doing it for me here (below).  The drab colours.  The stupid line.  The stupid Sun blobuloule.  Too many music notes.  Too much music, man.  Everything.  It was really starting to tick me off.  Now, not so much.  Boy, that's a relief!

TibbarTibbar sweeties.  xoxo
